Overview

Telecommunications Engineering Technology is a multidisciplinary undergraduate program that brings together electrical engineering technology, telecommunications theory and practice, management, and general education. You will study how communication networks are built and operated, how wired and wireless systems carry information, and how data travels reliably across the world. Alongside the technical foundations, you will build the practical skills and confidence to design, configure, and manage the systems that keep people and organizations connected.

What you'll learn in the TELCO program

Students build a solid foundation in telecommunications principles, network architecture, data communications, and signal transmission. They learn how wireless and mobile systems work, how access and backbone networks are structured, and how the protocols behind them keep information flowing. They also gain hands-on skills in configuring networks, diagnosing faults, and analysing the performance and security of communication systems.

Admission requirements

To apply, you need a Baccalauréat (series C, D, E or F) with an average of at least 12/20, or a GCE A-Level totalling 12 points or more with a grade B in Physics and Mathematics, or one successfully completed university year in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science. Applicants should have progressed without repeating a year over the last three years. You will also provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS), your official transcripts, and a completed application form.
